Instructions for Applying UV DTF Transfers to Acrylic Bookmarks

Follow these steps to create a beautifully customized acrylic bookmark with your UV DTF transfer:

Prepare the Bookmark - Start by removing the opaque protective cover sheet from the acrylic bookmark. This will expose the clear, glossy surface where the transfer will be applied.

Prepare the Transfer - Trim the UV DTF transfer to fit your bookmark, if needed. This step allows for precise alignment and removes any unnecessary overhang.

Apply the Transfer - Peel the backing off the UV DTF transfer to expose the adhesive side.

Carefully align the transfer with your bookmark. Start at one edge and slowly lay it down onto the bookmark, ensuring it stays lined up as you press it into place.

Secure the Transfer - Use a squeegee or a similar tool to gently but firmly swipe over the surface of the transfer. This helps the adhesive stick evenly and reduces air bubbles.

Remove the Transfer Cover Sheet - Slowly begin peeling up the clear transfer cover sheet. As you do, check to ensure the design is transferring smoothly to the bookmark.

If any part of the design lifts with the cover sheet, stop and swipe over that area again with your squeegee before continuing to peel.

Trim Excess Material - Once the transfer is fully applied, use scissors or a knife blade to clean up any overhanging material along the edges and around the tassel hole.

Finalize the Bookmark - Flip the bookmark over and remove the second opaque protective cover sheet on the back to reveal the finished acrylic surface.

Attach the included tassel by threading it through the hole at the top.

Tips for Best Results:

  • Work on a clean, flat surface to avoid dust or debris sticking to the adhesive.
  • Take your time aligning the transfer to ensure a polished look.
